1. Who we are

Questions about privacy? Email us at info@vdrchemtech.be.
2. What personal data we process
- Identification and contact details (name, company name, email address, phone number) — when you fill in the contact form, email us or call us.
- The content of your message — the questions, orders or information you send us.
- Technical data (IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited) — collected automatically in server logs and, only with your consent, through cookies.
3. Why we process it (legal basis)
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for statistics and advertising cookies.
- Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and deliver orders and services.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — accounting and tax record-keeping.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — keeping this website secure and preventing abuse.
4. How long we keep it
- Contact form submissions and correspondence: up to 2 years after our last contact.
- Customer data after an order or agreement: 7 years (statutory accounting retention period).
- Server logs: 6 months.
- Cookies: see the cookie table below.
5. Who has access to it
We only share personal data with:
- Our IT service providers (hosting, email, backups), acting as processors under a data processing agreement.
- Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics) — only if you consent to statistics or advertising cookies. Data may be processed in the EU and the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Competent public authorities — only where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15).
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16).
- Erasure when the data is no longer needed (Art. 17).
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18).
- Data portability — receive your data in a common format (Art. 20).
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21).
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where consent is the legal basis.
Send your request to info@vdrchemtech.be. We respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in particular in the country where you live or work — in Belgium the Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), in the Netherlands the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
7. Cookies
By default this website only places the functional cookie listed in the cookie table at the end of this policy. Statistics and advertising cookies are placed only after you consent to them in the cookie banner; if we add any, they are added to that table.
8. Changing your cookie choices
You can change your cookie preferences at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Changes apply immediately; cookies that were already placed can be removed in your browser.
9. Security
We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and regular backups. If a data breach is likely to result in a high risk to you, we notify you and the supervisory authority in accordance with Articles 33 and 34 GDPR.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. The date of the latest change is shown at the top of this page.
